Prior to his transition to MAYA, Luis was a Program Manager for Assessment to Achievement, where Luis collaborated with The Utah State Board of Education, to develop content, resources, and professional development for schools and districts in Utah to create strong school cultures focused on data, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. Luis has worked directly with over 250 teachers and approximately 75 school leaders over the course of his career as an Improvement Coach. Luis grew up in South Texas speaking Spanish as his first language and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin.
