Jen Craver, a MAYA Principal Consultant, has over a decade of experience working in education data analytics. Prior to joining MAYA, she most recently worked as the Director of Research and Evaluation for KIPP Texas Public Schools, a public charter school district serving more than 30,000 students across Austin, Dallas – Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. At KIPP, she collected data via surveys, interviews, and the organization’s data warehouse for academic and talent data analysis and reporting. Her Tableau and Excel visualizations helped drive both daily and strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization. She was also responsible for monitoring key progress indicators across the organization and reporting them to Chief level staff and Board members.
Prior to KIPP, Jen evaluated state home visiting and fatherhood programs at the University of Texas and worked at the University of Wisconsin in supporting school districts and states across the country, including Los Angeles Unified School District, Atlanta Public Schools, and Regional Offices of Education throughout the state of Illinois, to develop and implement teacher and school evaluation metrics.
At MAYA, she leads projects focused on data driven improvements, including support of more than forty Texas school districts through TEA’s Resilient Schools Support Program Data Fellows Cohort. This involves guiding data fellows to develop the skills needed to support analysis, progress monitoring, and visualization of learning acceleration data in their districts.
