Audrey Brandl is very excited to join MAYA in the role of Director of Communications and Advancement! Most recently, Audrey served as an Administrative Supervisor in the Office of Innovation and Development at Austin ISD. Audrey has spent nearly her entire career in the public sector, with previous roles including middle school teacher, non-profit operations manager, and education policy fellow. She also spent time as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP in their Strategy & Analytics practice serving public sector clients. Her knowledge and experience overlap quite a bit with MAYA’s strategies, including in the areas of postsecondary readiness, education policy, and liberatory design, as well as MAYA’s client types, including foundations, charter and traditional public schools, and government agencies.
Audrey holds a B.A. in Communication and Anthropology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin. In her free time, Audrey loves to explore Austin with her husband, toddler, and dog.
