Sarah Gudenkauf, Ed.D. is a Director at MAYA Consulting where she supports schools across the country with strategic planning and curriculum development and implementation. Her approach includes a focus on authentic continuous improvement methods such as Improvement Science and Implementation Science. She has extensive experience building & leading teams in education focused on creating equitable, rigorous, and joyful learning environments. Sarah started her career in education as a middle school and high school science teacher. She has been a teacher, instructional coach, and district leader, serving as a Director of Curriculum and Director of STEM for seven years.
Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior from Bucknell University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, and her Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on Educational Leadership. Sarah remains connected to colleagues and projects at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, where she focuses on supporting the development of continuous improvement mindsets and skills in educators. Sarah lives in a small town near Austin Texas and enjoys volunteering in her local community, gardening, and road trips with her family and dogs.
