Camille Maddox is a Senior Strategist with MAYA Consulting. She is driven by her passion for humanizing data for social impact. Originally from Minneapolis, she began her career serving in community outreach and public policy roles at both nonprofits and the City of Minneapolis. In 2016, she transitioned into the education sector, dedicating the last seven years to interpreting and analyzing data to drive impactful outcomes for education organizations. Through this work, she has developed data visualizations and coordinated research studies for clients at Shine Early Learning, led the adoption of Tableau at Aldine ISD, and collaborated with public sector customers to achieve their analytics goals at Tableau Software.
Prior to joining MAYA, Camille worked for the Council for Professional Recognition as a Program Strategy and Operations Director. At the Council, she directed the organization’s public policy initiatives, managed data requests, and coordinated strategic planning efforts.
She holds a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in public policy and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in African American Studies and Economics.
Camille is based in Houston, TX. Outside of work, she enjoys writing for In Black Ink, getting lost in local bookstores, discovering new restaurants, and checking destinations off her travel bucket list with her college besties.
